A solid carbide 1/4" mortise compression bit built for dadoing, grooving, and blind-slot work in plywood, MDF, and melamine. Unlike a full compression bit, the short .200" upshear bottom zone cleans the groove floor while the longer downshear upper zone controls tearout on the top face — a geometry that's optimized specifically for through-slots and blind dadoes where both cut surfaces are visible. Full end mill construction means it plunges directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled start hole, which simplifies programming and reduces cycle time.
